a mate pointed me to Sanj’s Yokomo RC Homepage, promising “All things Yokomo MR4TC”. Its an excelent collection of infomation and tips, including how to make tyre warmers, and how to build a laser lap timing system. Well worth a look whether you run a Yokomo or not!
Bruno ‘Elvo’ Heremans has posted what probably has to be the definative guide to car setup, in his pages titled “R/C Car Handling - An Introduction To Vehicle Dynamics“. Excelent stuff.
It seems to me there aren’t many people around who truly understand car setups, and know exactly what each adjustment does, most act kind of intuitively. The purpose of this site is to provide some insight in elementary vehicle dynamics to anyone who is interested.
My mate Bryan pointed to this informative article on how to adjust shock and camber angles.
Tuning your RC car’s suspension for top performance is just like knowing how to play pool: it’s all in the angles.
This sounds very cool… LRP 24 hour race of Eppelheim. I’d love to compete in an enduro sometime, but may be not 24 hours.
I’ve just finished finished painting a new Honda Accord body shell for my race car (photos below). I think the shell came up looking pretty slick, and it’ll go into the concourse for judging on the weekend.
It was painted using a Faskolor airbrush paints, in FasfluroOrange and FasfluroYellow, with a backing coat of FasWhite. The graphics are OFNA stickrs applied to the inside of the body shell before painting. Click on either photo for a larger image.
