Hey nice colours, I just got a Hyper 7 TQ Sport on the weekend, the body on mine came with the yellow/black flames. i didnt know that thin plastic film comes off! i’ve stuck some stickers on the body, but didnt remove the thin film of plastic.
i bought a hyper 7 in 2005 and it was sat in the garage for a year because we couldn’t get it started. But when we looked at your website and realized that you had to have the throttle open when you are pulling the starter coard. I am now having great fun with it so thank’s very much!!!
Yeah, I’ve found its pretty sensitive to throttle position while starting. Not quite enough and it won’t start, but just another millimetre of throttle and it’ll fire up no probs. With the standard configuration of the throttle servo, trigger in neutral, but trim full forwards seems to do the trick. Just watch though, if its on the ground it’ll want to move off as soon as it fired. I make sure the transmitter is within reach at all times while starting and as soon as the engine fires, hold the car in place (the rear wing works well for this) with one hand and wind down the throttle trim a little until it stops pulling away. I find though that if you wind the trim back fully as soon as it fires it’ll stall, so wait for it to warm up a bit before you do that.
