Open Source Organisation in Australia
Heres a quick roundup of some of the Open Source industry groups in Australia. I haven’t done an extensive search, but these are the groups which seem to crop up most often.
- Open Source Industry Australia - National body for open source in Australia.
- Linux Australia - A national Linux advocacy group, also oversees the annual Linux.conf.au conference.
- OpenSource.org.au - A starting point for open source resources, and home to the Open Source Experts Group.
- Open Source Business Network - SA - A local group of businesses involved in open source.
- Open Source Victoria - A Victorian open source industry group.
- Society of Linux Professionals (Western Australia) is a WA business group.
Obviously there are loads of user groups scattered around the county as well, but I’ve tried to limit this list to advocacy and industry groups.
