Content Management
On my trip last week I was involved in a few discussions relating to web sites, and ways we can make it easy for our customers to publish their content, and secure it from unauthorised use where appropriate. One of the nagging thoughts at the back of my mind was that developing some sort of system from scratch would be a waste of time, there had to be plenty of Open Source systems for Contenet Management out there, we just had to find one. Well, this morning I stumbled across opensourceCMS a web site which has demos of many different open source CMS systems installed for you to try out.
This site was created with one goal in mind. To give you the opportunity to “try out” some of the best php/mysql based free and open source software systems in the world. You are welcome to be the administrator of any site here, allowing you to decide which system best suits your needs.
also available from the same site is a PDF explaining how to choose a CMS which is useful. Highly recommended if you’re starting to look at content systems!
